For equipment rentals a full day is an 8 hour work day. For convenience we allow returns the next day at the same time as rented. The half day rental is 4 hours during the day or overnight (4pm to 8am the next morning).
Weekend rates work a little differently. A full day rental on Saturday starts either after 4pm Friday or anytime Saturday before noon. Saturday rentals must be in between 4-5pm Saturday. A full day rental on Sunday means the rental starts between 4-5pm Saturday and ends at 8am Monday. We also have a full weekend rate of 1 and 1/2 times the daily rate and runs from Saturday am to Monday at 8am.
Party rentals are generally charged as one day for the whole weekend for private parties. You can pick up your order Friday or Saturday and return Monday for that one day charge. Deliveries are scheduled on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, depending on when your event is and our work load. If you need earlier delivery than that for a weekend event you will be charged extra. Also, please understand that we cannot always schedule specific delivery times but we will try to deliver as close to your convenience as possible.
Rentals for events such as fairs or other commercial venues will be charges for the time out.
Canopies are smaller so they can be made of lighter materials and use lighter poles than tents. See our price list for size differences.
Frame tents are free standing, using an aluminum framework to stay up. They can be secured with fewer ropes than tents or canopies, or even with water barrels.
We can come to your home or event location to measure the site and help you with the size tent you need. Just give us a call well in advance of your event date to arrange a consultation.
Some towns require a permit to set up a tent, even for a backyard party. Permits can be downloaded from your town’s inspection services site. Fill out the form then bring it to us so we can fill out our part. If you need us to get the permit for you there will be a $25 charge in addition to the permit fee.
Amherst is the only local town that requires a permit for tents; anything over 20’x30′ or multiple tents within 12′ of each other that total more than 600sqft. The cost is $25.
You can get the permit here: http://amherstma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/25606
If you are unsure, contact your local town office.
No, we do not. We will stack tables and chairs in one area; under a tent, in a garage or home, etc., but not set them up. We expect all tables and chairs to be broken down and re-stacked, as delivered, for pick up.
You must scrape and rinse all tableware, but you don’t have to run it through a dish washer.
Linens must be shaken out but NOT re-bagged. They mildew quickly when left in plastic bags for even a day.
Food service equipment such as chafers, coolers, dispensers, and especially grills must be fully cleaned.
Yes, and if the order is big enough, it will usually be a free delivery. For small orders; a few tables and chairs, or a small dish order, we charge a minimal fee for local delivery.
The only piece of equipment we will deliver is our bucket loader. All other rentals must be picked up and returned by the customer.
We require a 50% deposit on all tent orders. That is, just the tent portion of your order. If you give us enough notice, there is a family emergency, or there is a serious storm forecast, we will refund your deposit.
If you cancel within the week of you event you will loose your deposit, except as noted above.
